If your idea is to relax and enjoy a pleasant stay you are one click to get it. The House of the Smurfs (as we named it) is larger than it looks in the photos. Comfortable, orderly, fully equipped and clean. With parking, a couple of bicycles, a terrace for a powerful brunch, a dinner between candles or simply spend time looking at a Palm tree from the hammock swing. Miguel is an authentic AirBnB player: open mind, a lover of travel, sympathetic (Andalusian genetics verifyed), very respectful of the privacy of the guests and willing to make your life easy. Always available to answer our queries by whatsapp with tips area, restaurants and everything you need to make you feel local. In all other respects, -Thing is easy: Zahora and its surroundings have spacious and wild beaches (Faro de Trafalgar, Caños de Meca, etc.) where get a tan, surfing waves and/or see wonderful sunsets over the sea -Thing is not easy if the diet or the silhouete are your priority. The quality and variety of local cuisine and the empathy and professionalism of the waiters are great. Wonderful house, relaxing location. There are several beaches nearby, some on foot (15min) or by car. Miguel & Joana are super nice and helpful. The equipment of the house includes a dishwasher, washing machine and two bicycles. The house is very cozy and quiet. It was a great week! Pure holiday thanks!

The house is gorgeous. Really. The house, the garden, the pool. It’s a really nice, beautiful and quiet place. It is in need of refurbishing but I can live with that.
The location is quite nice. It’s a quiet residential area, perfect for people with kids, which was our case. The beach near the apartment is quite good and there are lots of places to visit (at driving distance).
Miguel and Joana were really nice. They welcomed us, showed us around and gave us lots of tips on the surroundings.
But this is a review and I have to be honest… There were some low points:
– The house was not clean. It was not filthy, but a bit more cleaning would do no harm;
– The pool was dirty too. It needed to be vacuumed;
– The wifi was not working. It’s supposed to be prepaid with a 2GB limit. Well, that limit must have been reached before we arrived because we had no connection. A few days later we talked to Miguel and Joana who charged it but it lasted like 30 minutes (normal internet traffic – e-mails, iMessages, (website hidden) (no films)). I usually use like 300mb on my iPhone for a whole month!
Overall it was a positive experience. Too bad for these setbacks.

We spent a great week. Miguel was very helpful to us and the house was as described. The best is the area where the house is located, very quiet and secluded, but opposite the beach and 10 minutes drive from the surrounding villages. Highly recommended if you are looking for rest and be near the sea.

Great location. Unfortunately, the pool was not ready for us (it was empty other than some green water in the bottom) Miguel and Joana let me know a month in advance but it was too late to cancel at that stage. They lent us some bikes to use for the holiday instead which was nice, although a pool would have been better.
The house felt a little run down and was quite damp when we arrived. It’s probably better in the summer (we arrived at the start of April). Be warned that the wi fi runs out very quickly.
Although these problems did detract from the holiday, Miguel and Joana were lovely people, and the location is great, very near to a fantastic beach and also a great restaurant. Probably best to go in the summer when the house and pool would hopefully be in a better state.

Our host Joana was very helpful and everything went well. The house is as described. However the road to the house is a dirt road with lots of potholes and (wild?) dogs. Therefore it takes a bit more time to go to/from the house. The house is only surrounded by a couple of similar houses and nothing else nearby. To go to a restaurant or anything else you always need to take the car.

We had a nice stay in Zahora. Miquel & Joana are nice hosts and we got a perfect service. Miquel even picked us up after we failed to find the house in the first place. Be aware: Gmaps will trick you. The house absolutely met our expectations. The pictures are very accurate. It´s quite modern and we had anything we needed. It´s spacious for two persons and there are two sleeping rooms on different levels. We just used the ground flour but the second floor should be perfect for up to 3 kids or a second couple. Zahora itself is not really worth a visit. It´s a cottage village a few kilometers south of Conil. We visited Zahora in the after saison (October) and the most cottages were vacant. Google Maps gave us the right impression upfront and we expected that. So, we weren´t disappointed at all. We were looking for some rest outside of Conil/Vejer de la Frontera near the beach and that we got. There are two beaches nearby (around 10min to walk) and both are marvelous. Like the whole coast between Cadiz and Tarifa.

A perfect getaway! The well maintained, clean, house with everything you need to spend a few days away but feeling like at home. The parcel, impressive. Perfectly manicured lawns, barbecue, swimming pool (although because of dates we were not able to enjoy it). Beach three minutes, either little “calas” in the area. Hosts, all great. Attention to detail, anything we needed, we could even extend check-out some hours. Thanks, great time !!

A fantastic house! We were here with our son (almost 2 years old) so we had lots of space. He loved the pool! The house as well as the garden are very well maintained. The house is not in a village but in a ‘residential area’. There is only 1 small shop and a very few cafes. In summer I guess they’re all open. But when we were here (1st week of june) almost everything was closed. No problem for us, cause we had a car and made a lot of good trips from here! Joana&Miguel are really friendly and do their best to arrange everything if you ask. They response quickly and arranged us a baby cot and a bike with childseat. Very nice! And our son loved their cute dog! It could be good to tell some more about the character of the residential and the lack of shops and cafes in early season.

There was a little problem with the swimming pool the first days but it was sorted out, the house needs some repairs but looks pretty well. The parcel is really good and the garden is perfect. We are pleased to meet the owners they were really helpful and carefully. The house is really big, we brought a baby-cot and our baby was sleeping with us in the room, there was enough space. We really loved the garden, the house and the swimming pool.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. That’s the main headline we can give to Joana and Miguel. If something we can say is that the best of house is the care of both them. Regarding the house, the best thing it is the location, really near (1 hour max by car) from both north Cadiz city and Zahara de los Atunes/Tarifa in the south. Communications are good and though we all can improve, if you are not too demanding, the house is perfect to disconnect from the routine and look for the lost tranquility and peace.

The circular house is a very charming Spanish cottage in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was okay for preparing simple meals (btw big, new fridge but old dishwasher). We would have preferred a bigger double bed. The garden around the house is really nice! Joana is a very friendly and helpful host! We had a lovely stay at Zahora! A clean dishcloth/sponge would have been nice. Also some kitchen paper towel would be great, makes it a lot easier to keep the kitchen counter clean. Maybe you could think about duvets instead of sheets and blankets.

We really liked this beautiful Villa! Bed were good and everything was very spacious and very nice. Miguel, our very friendly host, took the time to explain everything and gave us some tips (a great restaurant nearby and a nice village to visit). We also booked a Yoga lesson next to the house. We only missed some extra sun beds. Too bad we (5 girls) only stayed here for 2,5 days. We sure have to come back with our families and rent all of the 3 villas on the premises.

The very nice and quiet beach is a 10 minute walk away (or two minute drive in our case) where we spent most of the days. Miguel greeted us very punctual (we could come even before the time of check-in and leave later too on check-out day) showed us around the house. Also he recommended us the way to get supermarkets and restaurants in the area and lend us two bikes. A very nice guy in the deal!
The house is simple and done with taste , you feel "at home" from the first moment . The kitchen has everything you need and everything worked fine . We were lucky to have the pool pretty much to ourselves , so we just went down to the beach for walks . Very pleasant stay and return with batteries charged !

Miguel and Joana, a lovely couple and willingly. The house is as you can see in the photos; all very clean and well kept, the garden also very nice to dine outdoors. The area is very quiet, and within 10 min you are in a large beach, Conil on the right Cape Trafalgar on the left.
Well used the uniqueness of the circular, tasteful decor, and almost everything you might need for a few days (it is welcome to find hygiene products, cleaning and kitchen scraps, is not everywhere). Recommended for the area-worthy to be known-from the comfort and tranquility of Zahora.

Very nice house for a quiet stay in El Palmar. The house is located on a very quiet part of the town, although a bit far from the beach (15/20 mins walk). Miguel was always available and very helpful. I recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing stay in El Palmar.

The minute we saw the place we fell in love with it. Such a beautiful design! We stayed for 4 nights during quite period on the coast and it was perfect. As we didn’t spend much time on the beach, because it was a bit chilly, we had time to visit some white villages around, Cadiz and Jerez. To be honest it was hard to leave house everyday, because we loved being there so much 🙂 Kitchen was very well equipped, so we cooked few meals ourselves. There’s washing machine available, two bikes and a surfing board. Our host is just wonderful, very friendly and easy going. Have his tips where to go and eat. Communication was perfect as well. We promised to come back next year with our friends. Can’t recommend enough!

We staying in this villa for 3 nights to attend a wedding nearby. The Villa is very well equipped and located within a 5 minute walk to the beach (and the wedding venue) We were a party of 6 adults and one baby and the villa was perfectly spacious for that purpose. Inside there was plenty of room for all of us and the air conditioning was a welcome relief from the heat. The Pool and BBQ area was really enjoyable and we welcomed the experience of getting to meet the other guests on site and letting the kids play together..

Having the small Roche coves with two steps up from the house, listening only nature and breathe the pure air and pine forest gives you many points, but also the house is amazing, clean, simple, high, light and more light ceilings, a kitchen very comfortable, spacious and independent bedrooms with fitted dresses and perfect room to relax, with direct access to a beautiful garden with BBQ next to the pool (in summer must be amazing). By this time nor misses a bath, fireplace closes a perfect circle of rest and peace, which is what we wanted to disconnect and it has been amazing. Repeat. And for the next time we will try the Living Cadiz surfing experience + yoga, when we stay more days. Thanks Miguel and Joana for your hospitality. It has been a pleasure !!

Miguel was very friendly and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He gave us very helpful advice for restaurants and surfing and was always contactable.
The apartment was cosy and had all the kitchen equipment that we needed. It was very clean and only a 10 minutes walk away from the beach.

Miguel picked us up in a little bar just around the corner – tapas are good, service is very nice – and welcomed us warmly in this wonderful circular house in Zahora. There was everything you need – shampoo, towels, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and even fresh fruits and eggs for breakfast. The beaches are a 15 to 20 minute walk away, but you can use two bikes, that take you everywhere really quickly. Miguel & Joana were there for any question we had. We were there with our ten month old son and he loved the little inflatable pool and the garden. As soon as we can, we will be back.

Little paradise by the beach! Fantastic apartment, very spacious and well equipped. Fresh and cool. Beach is very close by (10 min walk). Also the facilities outside pool, swing, 3 private terraces (eat, lounge, evening sun) and beach chairs were great. The bicycle to use for buying freshly baked bread was a bonus. Beautiful House, clean, everything you need is in the house! You can live like a real local there, between fields with horses and cows! In the night you can watch the stars very well, because there aren’t many lights in the neighborhood. Also you can sleep very well, it’s quiet. I recommend a car, so you can make some trips to other near cities. To the beach you need to walk 20minutes or go by car. The beach is perfect for surfing and having fun in the waves. A really nice place, if you need some recreation and love the nature! Also the hosts are every time available, if you need some information!
